... in domaining ... we're talking about words here,

Just read articles and postings from fellow domainers ... :lol2:

I think These two words are by far the most not-well written words :
    Develop (Develope)
    Pronounceable (pronouncable)

    develop vs develope

"develop" is the modern usage, but there was a time when "develope" was accepted.

    pronounceable vs pronoucable

Google SERP says : pronounceable (119k) vs pronoucable (2k)

Keep in mind that this is the english forum, so everything must be in english :D

anyway so that people won't repeat the same mistake, here is how you create the word pronounceable: pronounce-able :)

    notable

oops, sorry, i thought that the contents was the focus of the discussion in this english forum. please forgive me. i assure you that won't happen again. anyway, back to the topic, it seems that there are inconsistencies in the english language in adding the -able. i don't blame them in writing them wrong. here are some examples:

    ------------
    to brand > brand-able > brandable
    to drink > drink-able > drinkable
    ------------
    to pronounce > pronounce-able > pronounceable
    to sale > sale-able > saleable
    ------------
    to note > note-able > noteable > notable
    to debate > debate-able > debateable > debatable
    ------------
to eat > eat-able > eatable (very rarely used) > edible
to use > use-able > useable AND usable (both are valid)
    ------------

makes you wonder, doesn't it? shouldn't we be thankful speaking day-to-day in Indonesian, Ngapak or Zulu? ;)

This is according to Dictionary.com on the word Pronounceable

Please also note that there are two types of spelling in English, UK and US, so we may find words in different spelling such as Traveller in UK spelling and Traveler in US spelling.
